It is easy to test, if you are unsure if it is faulty, but it is hard to reach. I will look up for part no, I have it written down. Audi has recognized a potential carbon build up issue for the secondary air port in TFSI engines and has extended the warranty to 10Y/100K mi if it causes a CEL due to the SAP but not the injectors, valves, etc. I was told it was a factory recall on the fuel rail which I looked up and confirmed. The main 'common' fault with the 3.0TDI is the EGR valve failing. Quite a few of us on A5OC have had it. It's the thick end of a grand for dealer fix. Can happen anywhere from 45k miles upward, but of course may not happen to you at all.
